While we were in New York, we hosted our second-ever ShopStyle Social House. If you were perusing your Instagram during NYFW, you may have seen a snippet of this fab event while following some of your favorite bloggers using #SSSocialHouse. ShopStyle Social House was a three-level space for our bloggers and bloggers interested in learning more about ShopStyle Collective to refresh, recharge, and refuel during the madness that is Fashion Week — oh, and a respite from the below-freezing temps outside. We had some amazing brands present, like Express, Daniel Wellington, Gigi New York, and Cost Plus World Market, gifting influencers in attendance with products- these lucky event-goers walked away with some incredible swag! We also had a giant closet to borrow stylish items from for the duration of Fashion Week. Bloggers were encouraged to borrow from our closet brands like Neiman Marcus, Reiss, and BaubleBar. They had the option to wear and shoot the looks with our street style photographer, Craig Arend, right then and there, or they could mail back all items by the end of the week. Let’s just say for a style blogger in the middle of Fashion Week, that was a dream. All the Self-Portrait dresses were gone within the first few hours!
We had Stowaway Cosmetics refreshing makeup and R+Co doing braids, curls, and touch-ups! There were a few in-house photographers snapping away and a photo booth to capture all the memories. After receiving a flute or two of Champagne, an armful of gorgeous items to try on, another armful of swag, a poppy lip, and headful of curls, any girl would forget about the negative-degree weather waiting for her outside as she finally exited the glamorous venue on her way out to her next Fashion Week event.
