What is a Look? A Look is a shoppable image that allows a shopper to view a photograph and to shop the products that are linked within it.
What is a Collection? A Collection is a themed set of your Looks housed in a dynamically-updated container, which you can embed on any page or post on your blog or website. You must first create and embed a Collection on your blog or website to publish a Look.
Where will my Looks live? When you create a Look, you’ll need to assign it to at least one Collection for it to appear on your blog or website.
Where can I publish my Collections? Collections can be embedded on your blog or website.
Can I assign my Looks to more than one Collection? You can assign your Looks to as many of your Collections as you’d like.
Do I need to re-embed Collections when I add or update a Look? No, once you embed a Collection to your blog or website, all Looks you assign to that Collection will be automatically updated and published.
What makes Looks and Collections different from other shoppable social media tools out there? With ShopStyle Collective’s Looks and Collections, you’ll be able to:
Direct social traffic back to your site;
Make images you post to your social media accounts shoppable, including Instagram, Snapchat; Twitter and Facebook, by effortlessly redirecting your followers back to your blog or website; and
Remove barriers for your social followers to shop your posts (no sign-ups required and followers won’t get inundated with emails from us).
How do Looks and Collections work with Snapchat? Create a “Snapchat Shop” Collection and embed it to a page on your blog. Share your OOTD, your latest shopping haul, or your makeup beauty routine with your Snapchat followers. Save a screenshot of your Snaps that are shoppable and use them to create the Looks on Collective, tagging relevant products in your Snaps. (Note: the Collective Looks tool does not currently support video formats)
Make sure you include the URL where the Collection will live in your Snaps (i.e. add text so your Snapchat viewers know where to go. For example, mystyleblog.com/snapchat-shop).
You can even make it a little more interactive with your followers and ask them to send you a comment to get a live link to where they can purchase the products. When you comment back to them with a link to product info on your blog (your Snapchat Shop Collection URL), the link will be hyperlinked so they open up on their phones from Snapchat.
Does it cost money to create and publish Looks and Collections? No, Looks and Collections are free to create and use for all ShopStyle Collective members.
Can I customize how a Collection appears on my blog or website? At the moment, you cannot customize how a Collection appears when published. Looks are set to publish three photos wide, no matter the page your Collection is embedded within. Collections will always load at 100% width, as determined by the page you add the code to. Nine Looks will load at once per Collection. If there are more than nine Looks in a Collection, a “See more” button will appear at the bottom of the Collection. The most recent Look created will appear at the top left corner of your Collection.
Can I customize the order in which Looks appear within a Collection? At this moment you cannot customize the order of Looks within a Collection.
How can I edit a Look? Go into your Looks, pick the Look you want to edit, and click the pencil icon in the top right corner. Click on the “Back” button, and remove by X-ing out or add new products by searching and adding to the Look widget. Click “Build” and “Update”.
How many Looks and Collections can I create? You can create as many Looks and Collections as you want.
How many Looks can I assign to a given Collection? You can assign as many Looks as you want to as many Collections as you want.
Can more than one Collection live on the same page? Yes! You can have multiple Collections living on the same page. For example, you can create one page on your blog that’s your “Social Shop” and within it you can have your “Instagram Shop” Collection, your “Snapchat Shop” Collection, etc.
Will I get notified when products tagged in my Looks sell out? At this time, sold out notifications will not work with our Looks and Collections tools.
Can I create Looks and assign them to already-made Collections on the ShopStyle Collective iOS app? At this time, all Looks must be made on your desktop through the ShopStyle Collective dashboard

Hi! New here 🙂 I’m an avid pinner and am wondering if I link a pin to the identical item on my shopstyle account if that counts as an affiliate link? On the shopstyle item page there’s a “pin it” button. Is it really that easy???
