Looks and Collections make it easy to monetize Instagram, Snapchat, and any social channel. If you haven’t started using Looks and Collections, here’s a easy step-by-step tutorial so you can start monetizing today!
- Create a Collection, the frame that will house Looks you assign to it. For example if you want to monetize your Instagram posts, your Collection would be your “Instagram Shop.”
- Make a new page on your blog. See this post on how to do that on Wordpress.
- Copy the Collection embed code from step one into this new page you just created on your website. We suggest having it live off your main nav bar or your header (like this blogger).
- Then create Looks, aka shoppable images, to add to your new Collection. For example, the images you share on your Instagram could each be a Look. Select which products are featured in each Look and assign it to the Collection you want the Look to show up in. Once you publish each Look, it will automatically appear in the Collection you assigned it to.
- Grab the url from the new page you just created and plug that url into your Instagram’s profile URL, that way you can tell your readers to head to the link in your profile. Or, if you are on Snapchat you can add text to your story asking readers to head to that url, see the examples below.
On Snapchat:
On Instagram: (see the url)
Now share the Looks on your social networks and let your readers know they can shop all your looks directly on your website, and watch your earnings go up! Every time you share shoppable content on Instagram or Snapchat, don’t forget to create a Look that goes with it and assign it to the Collection on your page so your followers can shop.

If I use the Shopstyle app to post to my instagram will it automatically post to the blog or do I need to go in and create the look here as well? I have noticed that all the looks I create using the app are not available when I login here.
