Why and how you should Use Emoticode on Black Friday!

Chances are most of you have already heard about Emoticode, have given it a try, or are completely crushing the social monetization game because of it. Regardless of where you fall on this spectrum, I’m here to offer you tips for Emoticode-ing during Black Friday (and the crazy shopping week that surrounds it).

  1. If you haven’t already downloaded the app (SOS!!!) do so here. If you are completely new, everything you need to know about Emoticode can be found in this blog post.
  1. Monitor Emoticode performance in your Collective dashboard. You can filter your data by tool and see the number of clicks and orders by day from Emoticode. Use these insights to inform your social strategy, and link to things your followers engage with the most.
  1. Create Emoticodes that link to brands & retailers with the best Black Friday & Cyber Monday Sales. This will increase your chance of conversion! Consider doing a Snapchat roundup of your favorite products from the sales and Emoticode to each one.
  1. Remember, in the Emoticode app you can create an Emoticode that links to any URL. Use this to create an Emoticode to your blog post about Black Friday sales, and drive all of your Snapchat traffic to this page. Make sure your post is complete with great content, links, and widgets. You can do a roundup of your favorite products from the sales, or even a holiday gift guide!
  1. Getting users to download Emoticode is the biggest hurdle you’ll face. However, once they have the app and know how to use it an amazing experience! Check out these tips for educating your users here. Don’t be afraid to get creative though!
  1. Tease content on your Snapchat that users can only access via Emoticode, and have the snap link to a giveaway, a VIP sale roundup blog post (which you can source from our blog), or some other hot content that will incentivise users to get on board with the new technology. Once your fanbase is all using Emoticode, Snapchat (and Instagram) will become an extremely lucrative channel with monetization for you. Connecting your followers with the products they love has never been easier!
