Introducing ShopStyle “Sale Alert” Emails for Collective Influencers

One of the most powerful actions a ShopStyle consumer takes is setting up “Sale Alert” emails for items they like, but aren’t ready to buy yet. When that item goes on sale, an email is triggered and sent to the consumer, encouraging them to make the purchase. “Sale Alert” emails are so popular on ShopStyle that millions of these emails are sent everyday to consumers around the world. Plus, the emails that are sent have an open rate of up to 80%!

This is why we’re excited to let you know that starting today, your readers can now take advantage of the same “Sale Alert” email technology on the products you add to each of your Looks and those you Favorite — all of which now lives on your newly enhanced ShopStyle Blog Shop Page. These emails, powered by ShopStyle, will contain your Collective UID, so clicks from the emails will power a new revenue stream for you with no additional work needed. This will help protect your conversion rate if shoppers decide to wait until an item you’ve shared goes on sale before they purchase.

To access your Blog Shop Page, add your username to the end of this URL: www.shopstyle.com/collective/ [insert_collective_username]

How to fully take advantage of this feature:

  1. Add the Badge to Your Blog: Under the “Create” tab of your Collective account, there’s a new badge that will link to your ShopStyle Shop. Add this to your sidebar to notify your readers that they can get automated sale notifications for your Looks and Favorites by clicking through.
  2. Add a link in your posts: Don’t forget to add a blurb and link to your ShopStyle Shop at the end of each of your blog posts. This is an easy way for readers who might not be ready to make a purchase yet, but may be more inclined as soon as the items go on sale. By protecting your conversion rate, your pay-per-click rate will increase more over time.
  3. Call outs in social: Social followers are often browsing your content even when they can’t yet make a purchase, so it’s important to remind them about this feature wherever they are (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.).

We’ve made a few other changes to your Blog Shop Page:

  1. Look Redesign: We’ve redesigned the layout of your Looks on your Blog Shop page, as well as in the individual Look page.
  2. Tag more products in Looks: You can now tag up to 40 products per Look.
  3. Favorite Items: We’re now serving up your Favorite items at the bottom of your Blog Shop Page. These items also contain your Collective UID, so you’ll get credit on clicks generated from them (as well as any Sale Alert emails that are created through them).
  4. Track Performance: See how your Blog Shop is performing (earnings, clicks, orders, conversion rate) at any time. Log in to your Collective dashboard and look for “ShopStyle Shop” in the “Trended Data” section.

Final notes:

  • Update your “Shop Display Name” to reflect your Blog Name:  this can be found in your Collective account settings.
  • Update your Profile Photo: this can be found in your Collective account settings.
