It’s the most wonderful time of the year and also time to kick your blogging up into high gear! Whether you blog full time or part time, now is the time to use as many of the tools as you possibly can in the most strategic way to maximize your earnings. Use this guide anytime you draft a blog post this holiday season to monetize smarter.
- Affiliate Links — this is one of the easiest tools to use, as well as the preferred one among the Collective community. Always include at least five affiliate links. Head here to plug a URL in and create an affiliate link in less than five seconds.
- Product Widgets — this is the visual equivalent of an affiliate link. If your readers are visual people and you have a self-hosted blog, you should also include one product widget with at least 10 similar or identical items you’d like to feature. Head here to create one. Product widgets are great to tease your readers into clicking into a product.
- Convert — turn the product widget you just created into a Look, and add another layer to what you can monetize. This is now super easy to use with the one-step Convert tool. Read up on it here, and find the Convert icon next to any of your saved product widgets. Hint, it’s the two arrows going in opposite ways.
- Social — you are a social butterfly and love sharing to Instagram and Snapchat! Now that Looks are available, you can easily monetize your IG, and now that Emoticode is here, you can monetize your Snapchat.
