With all the hoopla around the holidays, it’s easy to get distracted, but don’t let this highly engaged time of year go by without looking to give your social platforms some love. Now is the time to really get eyes on the fresh content you are creating on Instagram with these six tips from our in-house Instagram expert, Anna, who has a pretty great Instagram herself.
1. Be consistent but variable: plan content in advance to retain a concise publishing schedule, and think of different things to put in different ways to keep your community excited — for example share your holiday travel plans, what you are wearing to a fancy event, cocktails you are sipping on, and beautiful views of where you are hanging out at, and puppy pics, always puppy pics!
2. Don’t forget to maintain a healthy balance between monetized content and real-life/on-the-go snippets.
3. Engage with your audience — ask and answer questions, share some thoughts about a picture you posted, and let them know what you’re up to.
4. Use Emoticode to focus on a particular piece on your posts and make it immediately shoppable for your followers.
5. Use Looks & Collections and mention your exciting “Instagram-Shop” in your posts to drive social media traffic back to your site. Link to a variety of products and paste your Insta-Shop’s URL in your bio to make it accessible for your followers.
