Understanding Text Links

What Is A Text Link:

ShopStyle Collective has a diverse selection of tools to help you monetize your unique and organic content. One of those such tools is the Text Link builder. The link you create from this tool is a shortened affiliate link to your desired product or retailer. Meaning when your readers click on this link to shop, you will earn money.

There are lots of reasons for using the Text Link Builder! When you are creating a blog post and want to hyperlink a shoppable product in your copy, you can easily use this tool to monetize these links. You can also use this tool if you want to link all the items from an outfit post, or to describe any shoppable product in a picture, like in the image below.

Step By Step: Link Shortener

1. Log into your account, then at the top of the page, click on “Text Link”
2. Find the item you want to monetize from your desired retailer (i.e. this sweater, and copy the URL)
3. Paste that URL into the text box from Step 1, and hit “Build It”
4. Click “Copy Link” and paste your new affiliate link into your blog post or preferred social channel

Step By Step: Search

1. Log into your account and click “Search”, near top left
2. In the search bar, type in your desired product (i.e. leopard booties or Frame denim)
3. Once you find your desired product, click into the item and hit “Copy Link”
4. Done! Share your new affiliate link into a blog post or prefered social channel

Step By Step: LinkIt

1. Drag and install the LinkIt button to your Chrome toolbar, click view in your browser and make sure you select “Always Show Bookmarks Bar”
2. Go to your favorite ShopStyle supported retailer (i.e. Shopbop, and find either the specific product on that site, or stay on the homepage)
3. Click on your newly installed LinkIt tool in your toolbar
4. Click “Copy Link” and paste this link into a blog post or your preferred social channel
