Community Blogger Resolutions for 2018

February 1, 2018 | Tips & Best Practices

We polled our community in early January to find out what it was you wanted to accomplish for your blog in 2018 and were overwhelmed and inspired by all your plans! Here are some of the big goals ShopStyle Collective is looking to achieve. We highlighted 20 to get you motivated if you haven’t already found your blogging grove this year.

“To be consistent uploading, enjoy what I post, push myself to be more creative and engage with as many comments as possible!” from Zoe at Zoe London.

“Goal: Make a part-time income from blogging, have a great partnership with brands.” from Jennifer Isaiah at The Pink Snob.

“I’ve already tackled the first one – a blog redesign! Now, it’s on to merging style with travel, entertaining at home. Also, focusing on wedding planning and making that a major vertical on my blog.” from Heather at Heather Bien.

“To create a community of readers that uplift each other and seek to better themselves.” from McKenzie Truman at Wise Soul.

“Create consistent content that I’m proud of and maintain an authentic readership.” from Kimi at Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

“Increase the number of readers & social media followers, create more video content, find interesting projects & brand collaborations, create a printed version of our Stylish Destinations series, use more ShopStyle links & ad banners, make more money, improve time management & content planning, take Fashion Studio Magazine to the next level. Looking forward to new adventures in 2018! :)” from Eva at Fashion Studio Magazine.

“Make blogging a priority! I have been slacking big time and making excuses but I am much happier when I get to be creative and open with myself. I feel supported and organized and I am ready to take the leap!” from Jade at Jade Marina.

“To make full-time income promoting ShopStyle Collective links with my website. Thank you for your services it is highly appreciated, and Happy New Year!” from Lauren at Chattycrafting.

“To be more consistent and continue doing what I have a passion for. I fell out of love with blogging last year but 2018 is my year!” from Sonam at Sonamlotay.

“I want to create personal, helpful content and continue to show that style is not defined by your size!” from Katha at Kathastrophal.

“To become better at getting new posts out as well as learning how to better utilize my analytics to increase reach and revenue. Last year was my first year, so now I know where I can improve. I also want to reach out to more bloggers and collaborate!” from Nicolette at Nicolette.

“To empower women through fashion on a budget.” from Hannah at The Outfit Repeater.

“Be proactive instead of reactive. Ask to work with the people and brands I want to collaborate with, instead of waiting for people to approach me, no matter how out of reach they may seem to be!” from Zahra from Love Zahra.

“To only create content of value. To focus on making Quality videos, blog posts & social media posts.” from Kalei from Kalei Lagunero.

“Continue to grow my audience by streamlining the A Note on Style aesthetic in fashion and decor. Expand the offerings on all subjects related to travel: city guides, what to wear and how to pack.” from Karima from AnoteonStyle.

“Mine is a more mental resolution. To have faith in myself. Whatever I do, whether it’s to try and grow my blog and my following (now that I’m taking blogging seriously), trying out a new recipe that I’ve never done before, to traveling solo for the first time in 16 years – sans kids. Just to have faith in myself.” from Glorife at Glorife.com.

“I want to continuously grow by each post — whether that’s in numbers, writing style, or brand development!” from Eva at Eva Darling.

“My resolutions for 2018 is to use my platform to express my personal style and to inspire women nationwide.” from Alexis at Alexis Fried.

“Blog more and stay consistent. I am working on creating to-do lists to help me stay on track for the year to make this my best and highest grossing yet!” from Erinn at Beautifully Bombshell.

“To get the word out about my book + implement more content from the book into my blog. My blog has always been fun fluff, and the book is a philosophical discussion about the pressures women face re:their appearance. Pressure from mainstream to indulge in fashion, and then shame from the other side that it’s vain and we shouldn’t care at all. And asking how do we find the balance somewhere in the middle?” from Jeanette at JS Everyday Fashion.

Hope you were inspired by all these amazing plans and resolutions!

carlina
