As a content creator, storytelling is at the heart of your business. Stories help you connect with your audience and build a trusting relationship that can lead to more sales. While your creative voice sets you apart from the crowd, consider these steps in creating stories that sell:

 

Understand your Target audience

Analyze your data and find retailers, brands, and products proven to convert. Compare your top retailers to those at the bottom to see if any patterns are emerging and take note of peak shopping times and seasons for your top retailers. 

 

 

Optimize copy to excite

Share clear, can’t miss, fomo-inducing details. Find ways to tie in unexpected topics to the main business purpose, like creating a sense of urgency around must-know sales, promotions, or new arrivals. 

 

Craft attention grabbing content

Utilize creative headlines, top notch imagery, and clear design to support your copy. Great content that also converts must stand out from the rest. 

 

Stay true to your brand

Write conversationally, and remember your followers are not just customers. Put your heart into your content, express your own thoughts, and build trust while backing up your opinions with facts.

 

End on a call to action

Guide your followers to purchase or share their thoughts. When they finish reading your content, they’ll be asking, “where do I learn more?” or “where can i find this?”

 

Engage with your followers

Utilize multiple channels to engage with your followers  and consider their feedback to refine your strategy.
