Know Your Worth

DETAILED SALES DATA

Now, know the exact amount of sales you are driving to retailers and more. On your analytics page, you can view sales and average order value (AOV) by retailer, brand, product, and category. You can use this data to:

  • Understand your audience

    • Sales and Average Order Value (AOV) information can give insights into where your readers shop and what their budgets are like.

    • Using AOV, you can target your content to match your audience’s budget and preferences. For example, if your audience has an AOV from Nordstrom of less than $100, you might not expect a $980 Gucci purse to perform as well.

    • AOV also gives insights into what your audience is inspired to buy. For example, if you link to a $300 item but your AOV is close to $92, your audience isn’t likely to buy the featured item. However, by incorporating varied price points like this into your content, you’re inspiring your audience to shop – and that can help evolve their behavior.

  • Understand your retailer performance

    • Use your sales, AOV, conversion rate, and commissions to analyze your revenue performance at the retailer level.

    • AOV and sales data help you understand the sales you are driving and at what volume. You can use this to determine which retailer is your highest converting, which potential retailers could be improved, and which similar retailers you should test out.

  • Experiment

    • Try out new strategies and use data to validate the results.

    • Do you think your audience is willing to stretch their budget for the right items? If so, try including products outside of your audience’s normal AOV and see how they perform, then look at AOV to assess whether you’re driving sales at the higher price point.

  • Enhance your brand story

    • Knowing how much money you have historically driven to brands can help you enrich your media kit. Include attention-grabbing stats like dollars driven to retailers (sales), average conversion rate, and average order value (AOV).

Transparent Earning Structure

We are eliminating uncertainty around affiliate earnings and giving influencers transparency into what and how they are earning.

Similar to most monetization platforms for publishers/influencers/content creators, we operate on a revenue share model.

As your partner, we work with merchants, create platform monetization tools, and leverage our data insights to help grow your business. ShopStyle negotiates for you, too: Utilizing our scale and relationships, we work with our retailer partners to get the highest affiliate rates, longest cookie windows, and other special offers to enhance your content.

We have a base revenue share model of 70/30. This means that you get 70% of all commissions earned. Our share is deducted before it makes it to your account, so everything you see in your dashboard is yours to keep. For example, if your follower makes a purchase of $100 at a retailer that pays out a 10% commission rate, you will be paid $7 and ShopStyle keeps $3. (Keep in mind that all commissions take about 90 days to actualize.)

We will always publish the full commission rate on our Stores page. Please remember that commission rates often come in at a range, and that we always publish the highest possible amount. As retailers frequently have special rates or exclusions on categories, brands, sale items, and more, we’ll do our best to make sure you are aware of these special rates and exclusions. Due to the volume of retailers and frequent rate changes, though, it’s possible that we may miss a change here or there. We are always working to improve!
