Blair Eadie’s Tips for Growing Your Brand

June 13, 2019 | Must Know, Tips & Best Practices

Blogger Spotlight: Blair Eadie of Atlantic Pacific

This year, one of our biggest goals at ShopStyle Collective is to inspire creativity, authenticity, and growth – and to empower influencers like you to grow your personal brand!

That’s where Blair Eadie comes in. We chatted with the influencer behind Atlantic-Pacific to learn more about how she’s stayed true to herself while going after her goals and building an incredibly successful brand. Here’s what she had to say:

  1. What are your top tips for growing your own brand?

There are six things that I often talk about when I am asked about growing my brand.

  • Find your niche – you can’t be everything to everyone.

  • Create a vision – what is your purpose and intent?

  • Set goals and boundaries – productive goals to start, focusing on what you can control and create.

  • Think long term – make decisions that are best for the future.

  • Don’t play the comparison game – be your own person and show your own value.

  • Be nice and work hard – pretty self explanatory, but I’m always surprised when I see the contrary.

  1. What are a couple of your career highlights?

Being accepted and graduating from the RMP program at Gap Inc. is something I am still very proud of. A few years later into my career, being tasked with leading a faster production pipeline for Old Navy was definitely a highlight. Moving to NYC and working for Tory Burch at such a critical time in the company’s growth was also a wonderful experience. On the Atlantic-Pacific front, many of the product collaborations stand out for me. Creating a jewelry line with BaubleBar, a nail polish line with Sephora, and most recently, a complete collection with Nordstrom were all incredible experiences.

  1. What’s your favorite part about your work?

The creativity and the people! I’m fortunate enough to work with incredible partners that allow me to experiment and constantly try new things. I also love the people that I work with and that is hugely important to me.

  1. What is still your biggest challenge?

The changing landscape. It’s tough to keep up with all of the changing trends and new platforms of social media. I assess each platform and decide if I want to participate and at what level – oftentimes that process can be a challenge.

  1. What surprising lessons have you learned along the way?

It is okay to say no. It can be hard, and often uncomfortable, but saying no to specific partners, partnerships, projects, jobs, etc. allows me to stay authentic, create room for growth, and ensure that I am putting 100% into everything I do commit to.

  1. What are you looking forward to this year?

Two things come to mind. One, traveling to new places and working with a few exciting new partners! And two, continuing to combine my merchandising skills and digital skills through product collaborations and creative marketing. Merchandising and product design is still my first love so it’s always fun and rewarding to revert back to it!
