Take your Holiday Strategy to the next level with these tips:

→ Produce fomo-inducing content to create a sense of urgency 

FOMO (fear of missing out) can be a powerful marketing lever. Data shows that people are likely products immediately,  because they don’t want to miss out. (Especially via social media channels!)

Create a sense of urgency surrounding major sale days like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Single’s Day!  Reference our weekly sales posts for insights on all upcoming sales and use countdown timers to raise awareness that sales are coming

Let your readers know popular products might sell out and don’t be afraid to stress the importance of purchasing on the spot in in your call-to-actions: “Buy Now Before It’s Gone!”, “Back in stock for a limited time”, “Low supplies”.

→ Feature similar products to increase your chance of conversion 

Some shoppers may be ready to splurge, while others are more budget conscious. Whether you are a luxury focused blogger or only share affordable items, you should include products at a wide-range of price points. This also comes in handy when products sell out!

→ Seed your links early to increase clicks and drop more cookies 

Take key holiday dates  into consideration when scheduling posts to maximize your earning potential.

Research shows that Black Friday works best when you start creating a buzz early. By linking early, you will increase your clicks and drop more cookies. This will ensure you make the most when your followers begin taking action and purchasing from your content!

→ Promote high commission retailers to boost your earning potential 

Consider retailers with higher commission rates when you’re planning your organic content, or if you are looking to explore new brands that you don’t feature on a regular basis. Ex: Interested in promoting Free People? Check which multi-brand store provides a higher rate, and  create links through them. 

Be sure to keep categories and brands! Special offers can be available for specific brands or categories. (Home, beauty, etc). Special offers can be found next to select retailers on the Commission Rates Page in your dash. 

→ Include trending holiday keywords to optimize your content for search

Review your keywords and tap into what’s trending! (Always available in your analytics and on the blog).  Use Google Trends as a keyword research hack. It’s a great (and free!) tool that allows you to see what topics are trending on Google Search engines.

→ Interact with your followers to increase engagement and build rapport 

You might feel like you are talking to the same people all the time and relaying the same information, but in reality your audience is always reaching different people. Every post creates an opportunity to turn a reader into a shopper and continuing to educate your audience on how to shop is so important!
