For formal occasions I always look to the red carpet for nail inspiration. Red carpet nails this past award season were very old Hollywood with metallic nudes and deep reds. To find your signature metallic nude, find a polish two shades lighter than your foundation and layer it with a pearl like ‘imported bubbly‘ or ‘au natural’ by essie. It instantly takes your nail color from casual to dressed up. For a dark manicure statement opt for burgundy’s like ‘bordeaux’ or, essie’s classic, ‘wicked’.”
