It’s a great idea to write about new topics as you continue to blog, as that is where you’ll actually understand what your audience is excited about, what they respond to, and what resonates with them.
However, now more than ever, you need to focus in on what your strategy is. If you are a fashion blogger with an audience tuned into clothing, keep the focus on that. If you are mommy blogger with an audience excited about kiddie clothing and home goods, focus on that vertical. It’s easy to try and tap into every single vertical, but keep the focus on what your audience already expects from you and you’ll notice a more engaged audience.
