We all know the struggle of keeping the balance between being constantly on the run (to create content) and having to catch up with everything else later (in front of the laptop, late in the evening . . .). To make your lives a little easier, we picked the must-have apps, from the coolest ones to edit pictures and videos to the best ones for organizing your daily to-dos cleverly and monitoring your blogs’ performance. If you haven’t downloaded them, you better do it now!

Editing Pictures and Videos

VSCOcam: Probably one of the most classic apps to play around with your pictures. Enhance your pictures with outstanding filters and ‘gram them in no time!

Camera+: A two-in-one to take pictures and control the white balance, exposure, and focus at the same time! You can also edit your pictures with this app afterward.

Adobe Lightroom: The classic for all Adobe pros.

Afterlight: The biggest range of filters and special effects!

Facetune: This one works like magic, but be aware: never overuse it! Facetune should be there to enhance your picture, hide a little spot, or even out dark circles, but it surely shouldn’t make you look unnatural.

Snapseed: Another great editing tool that was only available for desktop for a while. Well, not anymore . . .

Splice: For quick and fun video editing ready for social media sharing. Load your clips, crop the timing, add a song, and you’ve got an edited video in minutes.

Quik (formerly known as Replay): This app is a free movie maker to edit photos and videos with music with 28 carefully designed video-editing styles. “In just seconds, it analyzes your photos and video clips to find the best moments, adds beautiful transitions and effects, and syncs everything to the beat of the music.” You can customize your story with text, music (70-plus free songs), filters, and graphics!

Picfx: Picfx provides you with over 100 refined, layerable effects for your iPhone photography (our favorite: the sparkles effect!).

Monetizing Social Media

Wunderlist: The perfect mobile solution for everyone who’s also tired of basic to-do lists. Wunderlist helps to create to-do lists in a playful way on your phone while letting you share your to-do, work, grocery, movie, and household lists with your co-workers, family members, and friends. You’re able to set due dates and reminders and assign to-dos. Available for free on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android, Windows, Kindle Fire, and the web.

WordPress Editorial Calendar: “Did you remember to write a post for next Tuesday? What about the Tuesday after that? WordPress doesn’t make it easy to see when your posts are scheduled. The editorial calendar gives you an overview of your blog and when each post will be published. You can drag and drop to move posts, edit posts right in the calendar, and manage your entire blog.”

Google Drive: Your most professional digital file management tool! This one will help you to never be scared of losing your files in case your laptop or mobile phone ever decides to crash.

Analytics and Tracking

Dashboard: Also known as the Google Analytics for your mobile phone!

Bitly: This one helps to automatically shorten any long URL in your clipboard and, therefore, helps you to share links quicker and easier on social media. Bitly will track the click rate as well as provide you with an amazing set of analytics across all known social media channels. “See how your Bitlink compares to other Bitlinks, learn where geographically your Bitlinks are popular, and even see other users that created Bitlinks to this same piece of content.”
