How to: Looks

| How-To

A look is a shoppable image or photo. Tag products featured in your Look. Designate which Collection(s) your Look should be published to.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your Collective dashboard.
  2. Click “Create” in the upper left-hand corner.
  3. Click on “Look” icon.
  4. Find the products that you want to be tagged in that Look using your Lists or by searching them on ShopStyle. Once you find the products, hover over them with your mouse and select “Add to Look.”
  5. Click “Build” in the top right-hand corner of the page.
  6. Upload the photo you want to use for your Look. Optional: add a caption and hashtags.
  7. Select the Collection you’d like your Look to appear in. Note: If you don’t have a Collection to select yet, or you’d like to create a new Collection, you can save the Look and then come back to edit it once you’ve created the Collection. You will always have to assign a Look to a Collection for it to appear on your blog.
  8. Click “Publish” in the upper right-hand corner.

How to: Collections

| Must Know

A Collection is the frame that will house your set of Looks. You must first create and embed a Collection on your blog to publish a Look. After you add your new Collection’s embedded code directly onto your blog, you’ll be ready to create and assign Looks to it.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your Collective dashboard.
  2. Click “Create” in the upper left-hand corner.
  3. Click on the “Collection” icon.
  4. Name your Collection (e.g. “Instagram Shop,” “Snapchat Shop,” etc.) and click “Save.”
  5. Copy the Collection embed code we provide you on to a new page on your blog. We suggest having it live off your main navigation bar for extra visibility. Please note that if you are on WordPress to view what your post will look like before it’s live you’ll need to hit “Preview” or else you’ll see a blank space.

Note: When you initially embed the Collection HTML code on your blog, it will be empty. Once you create and assign Looks to the Collection, they will automatically publish in the Collection on your blog.
