How To: Secure More Brand Partnerships

April 11, 2016 | Tips & Best Practices

You did it! You took the plunge! You have started a blog, have built a brand, and are on your way to creating a business empire. So, what’s missing? If you’re thinking brand recognition, keep reading.

We get this a lot — how do I stand out from the crowd and score partnership opportunities with my favorite brands? Well, it’s not always easy, but there are a few simple things you can do to increase your odds.

First, put together a kickass media kit. Your media kit should include the following:

  • Monthly uniques
  • Monthly page views
  • Social reach
  • Audience demographic
  • Top-performing categories and brands
  • Features in notable publications
  • Headshots
  • Nice to have: customized for each brand!

Once you have your media kit, share it! Make sure you have an easy, clear way for brands to connect with you. I’m also a big fan of being proactive. Find a contact and reach out with your media kit.

Here at ShopStyle, we want to do everything possible to help you build your business, so feel free to send us your media kit. Let us know what types of collaborations you are interested in and why brands should want to work with you!

Tune in next month for more best practices and what to do after you secure a collaboration with your favorite brand. Hint: closing the loop is key!

Hugs,

Larissa

Glad you found this post useful! We’ll have a followup post next month and we can touch on programs to use to create this kind of kit. The second media kit was made using Keynote. 🙂
