Time to start planning your content!
Follow this checklist to help prepare for one of the biggest sale weekends of the year:
Increase your posting cadence
-
More posts across your channels means more opportunities to drive sales. Check your analytics page to view which channels drive the most, and plan your content accordingly.
-
Utilize your ShopStyle Shop hosted on ShopStyle.com in your Swipe Up feature or link-in-bio to promote shoppable content on Instagram. This is a great solution if you don’t own a blog!
Analyze your data
-
Look at your best performing products, brands, retailers, and price points from Memorial Day 2018 as well as what has been converting for you in the past 90 days. Keep an eye out for price drops on your most popular products.
Start prepping your audience now!
-
It’s never too early to start dropping cookies. Link out to your top retailers in advance for more conversions when the sales start.
Create your own sale guide
-
Curate a list that you update in real time to help your audience navigate large sale sections. Share this post multiple times across different channels, and mention the start end and dates of each sale to create urgency.
-
Check-in on our Memorial Day Sales round up here! We’ll be updating sales and promotions all week long.
Add a variety of shoppable content to your blog
-
Double down by using both links and product widgets throughout your content. Be sure you have a “Shop my Looks” page on your blog filled with updated Looks.
Promote Sales from High Commission Retailers
-
This will ensure you earn the most on every conversion. View our High Commission Retailer Spotlight blog post or sort the Stores page by commission rates to see retailers offering high rates.
Enable Favorites and Sold Out Notifications
-
Enable the Favorites feature ahead of the sales period so readers can ♡ their favorites all weekend long. They will receive an email when the price drops on their items, and easily shop the products they favorited.
-
When items sell out, use the Sold Out Notification feature to make sure you’re always linking to products that are available and in stock.
