With just days left until the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, we at ShopStyle Collective want to make sure you are set up for success! Below are a few Do’s and Don’ts, sent straight from the Nordstrom team, to keep in mind as you shop and share:
Do’s & Don’ts:
- When tagging Nordstrom Anniversary Sale related content on social platforms, use #Nordstrom and #NSale.
- You are encouraged to optimize your own site to garner traffic around the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, however, you may not purchase any keywords on search sites related to Nordstrom or any variation thereof, i.e. “Nordstrom Sale,” “Nordstrom Anniversary Sale,” etc. on any paid search, Facebook, Instagram, or other paid advertising. You are welcome to post about Nordstrom, but you may not pay to boost those posts when using our Branded/Trademarked terms.
- While the impacts of COVID-19 will undoubtedly change the in-store experience, please be mindful of the amount of time you are using the dressing rooms and be considerate of the sales associates’ time when asking them to retrieve products (especially if you don’t intend to make a purchase).
- Giveaways, sweepstakes, or contests associated with any Nordstrom branded term are not permitted. If you’ve hosted or plan to host a giveaway surrounding the Anniversary Sale, please exclude or remove any reference to a partnership with Nordstrom or #Nordstrom, as Nordstrom does not support gift card giveaways or contests.
- While Influencers are highly valued, they do not receive additional permissions or exclusive access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Please do not call or appear in stores to have sale associates pull product for you or request any sort of special treatment.
- Nordstrom encourages the use of geo-tagging stores when covering an in-store visit during the sale on your social channels.
In-Store Considerations & Guidelines:
As we navigate through these unprecedented times, please know that the in-store experience for Anniversary is going to look different than in years past. We are grateful for your partnership in promoting the Anniversary Sale and would like to provide you with some additional guidelines with regards to the store and our employees during this time.
We expect your careful consideration of and adherence to these guidelines to ensure our continued partnership so that our store employees can provide the same level of superior service to all our customers, including you!
- Please call/check your local store ahead of time when preparing your visit to stay up to date on hours of operation and COVID restrictions/guidelines.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone NOT adhering to our in-store policies specific to COVID-19 regulations (i.e.: Practice Social Distancing, Mask and/or Face Coverings, etc.)
- While Influencers are highly valued, they do not receive additional permissions or exclusive access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Please do not call or appear in stores to have sale associates pull product for you or request any sort of special treatment.
- While shopping in store, please be aware of potential limited interaction with our sales associates.
- Our store employees strive to provide the best service to ALL of our customers, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, we may have less staff on the floor than a typical Anniversary Sale, so please be mindful that our employees are doing the best they can to serve as many customers as they can.
- Due to Social Distancing guidelines and additional COVID-19 restrictions, we may have a limited number of dressing rooms available for use, so there are a few things to consider:
- Please be mindful of the time you are spending trying on, styling, and/or taking pictures of the clothes. There could be a line of people waiting to try on clothes and we want to make sure there are limited delays in dressing room wait times.
- Please be respectful of our sales associates and their time. They are eager to serve all of our of customers, including our influencers, but please understand that their compensation is largely commission based. Time spent pulling product for you, assisting you with styling or photography, holding dressing rooms, etc. will impact their livelihood if you do not intend to purchase the majority of these items.
- Due to COVID-19 regulations, there will be a turnover time of 24 hours for all products that are tried on.
- Please be aware that the product you bring into the dressing room will NOT be put back, but rather it will be taken off the floor and disinfected for 24 hours.
- Since items will not be put back onto the floor until the following day, we ask you to limit the number of sizes of the item(s) in question, as it could potentially limit the opportunity for other customers to access the product.
- We ask you to please log in to your Nordstrom account ahead of time, note your current loyalty status, and be prepared to shop during the days associated with that Loyalty level. NO special access or exceptions will be granted to influencers during our Early Access pre-shop (8/4-8/18).
- Store managers and sale associates are made aware of all shoppers’ current Cardmember status at time of checkout, and they will not be accommodating anyone who is not eligible to shop during the designated timeframe.
